A limited number of $675
travel grants (free registration, double occupancy) will be available for students,
postdoctoral fellows, and
young researchers to cover the costs of
meeting registration.
Recognizing the need to support scientists in
developing nations, we intend to award several travel grants to
applicants from countries outside North America. We will therefore
welcome Applications for Travel Funds from students, postdoctoral
fellows, and young scientists from countries outside of the United
States as well as from the U.S.
The deadline for requesting financial assistance is February 15, 2003.
This year's deadline for requesting financial assistance has
passed. Final decisions on travel grants will be made by March 15, 2003.
To apply for the grant, you will be required to prepare a one-page Word document that details your contact information and contains a preliminary abstract of the information you intend to present at the symposium. Please note that only those who present a poster or an oral presentation will be considered for financial assistance.
The margins of your Word document should be set at one inch, and APPLICATION FOR TRAVEL FUNDS should appear at the top of the page. Contact information should appear next, in the following order:

Your abstract should follow your contact information. Although you
should follow the format specified in the
Abstract Guidelines and
Submission, you may ignore the margin guidelines specified on
that page. Please note that this abstract is used for
consideration of your financial aid application only. Your
abstract for the meeting must be submitted from the Abstract
Guidelines and Submission page by the April 15 deadline.
